Question: Is it true that when a father passes hair loss genes, it skips some of his offspring?

So it would strike the first son and skip the second and so forth or is this just another myth that should be busted?

The way it is "supposedly " passed on is from the mother. So, your mother's grandfather is the person that determines if a man is bald or not. So it goes from bald father to daughter (who carries the genes), to the son's of the mother. Basically the grandsons of the bald grandfather is the theory. I'm not sure if that's always the case, however.

The supposition is that this is a trait passed down from your mother's side rather than your father but as with anything, there is always variation so I would not hold entirely fast to this assumption.
