Question: Postpartum hair loss or birth control pill side effect?

I started on birth control (loestrin24fe) 2 weeks ago and recently have noticed I'm shedding a large amount of hair while showering and through out the day. Hair loss is listed as a side effect of the pill I'm taking. My baby is almost 3 months old and I know it is common around this time to suffer from postpartum hair loss due to hormones. I am wondering if it is postpartum hair loss or if it could be the pill I have just started. I have called my OB/ GYN and my doctor is supposed to call me back, just wanted a few opinions.

It really could be either or. i just started that same pill and ive been on it 3 weeks with no side effects at all (not even breast tenderness as i used to get in all the other pills ive had) Hair loss is a side effect of any birth control i think. Has you noticed anything else? I would continue taking it for at-least the rest of this month and half of the next one to see if you get any more bad side effects you dont like. hope i helped!

That happened to me after each pregnancy so I think its that.
